The Mustard Seed Project is a community growing project based in the Fairylands allotment site and supported by Afon Nedd Ministry Area (Anglican churches in Neath, Skewen, Briton Ferry & Tonmawr). Their aim is to invite the community to join them to grow vegetables and enjoy Christian fellowship.

All are welcome including those who want to take care of their mental health, those just looking for company or anyone who would like to learn how to grow a few veg ( or anyone who would like to share their knowledge with others).

Open gardening sessions take place on Saturday afternoons between 2 p.m and 4 p.m. They provide tea, coffee and biscuits and always make time for a chat. Any surplus produce will be donated to Neath Foodbank.

We sell surplus plants at the monthly coffee morning at St Thomas’s church in the town centre on the first Saturday of each month. All monies raised go towards our running costs.

We welcome donations of plants and good quality garden tools. Unfortunately, the location of the allotment makes it unsuitable for those with limited mobility.

Contact Reverend Ali on 07780 435392 or email AlisonReeves @ cinw.org.uk for more information or to get involved.
