Support Our Local Community This Winter by Donating Food at Tesco Neath Abbey

As we brace ourselves for our toughest winter yet, with thousands of emergency food parcels expected to be distributed to people living in food poverty across Neath, we’re inviting shoppers to donate to this year’s Tesco Winter Food Collection.

From Thursday the 27th to Saturday the 29th of November 2025, customers at Tesco Neath Abbey will be encouraged to pick up an extra item or two as part of their weekly shop and drop them in the special donation trolleys on their way out of the store.

Below is a list of items that would be greatly appreciated:

• Tinned Peas
• Tinned Carrots
• Tinned Sweetcorn
• Tinned Tomatoes (Plum & Chopped)
• Tinned Potatoes
• Tinned Soup
• Tinned Fruit
• Tinned Cold Meat
• Tinned Hot Meat
• Tinned Curry
• Tinned Custard
• Tinned Rice Pudding
• Chickpeas
• Kidney Beans
• Cupa Soup
• Evaporated Milk
• Milk
• Peanut Butter (Smooth)
• Jam
• Biscuits
• Chocolate Bars
• Cereal
• Pasta Sauce
• Pene Pasta
• Spaghetti Pasta
• Instant Mash
• Potatoes
• Squash (Orange & Blackcurrant)
• Coffee

The need for donations is greater than ever, with food banks in the national Trussell Trust network expected to distribute an emergency food parcel every eight seconds this winter as many people continue to struggle to afford the essentials.

We’ll be there from 10am to 4pm each day – we hope to see you there!
